We are recruiting for a Accounts Administrator  to join our Navitas Engineering team based in London Waterloo.  

Navitas Engineering is part of the Octavius group of companies, and provides electrical engineering design, consultancy and testing services to the railway and electricity supply industries. Our team provides engineering support to the client, which covers the complete asset life-cycle, including feasibility studies, option assessment and selection, outline design, detailed design, testing and engineering support during the implementation, operation, and maintenance phases.

The Accounts Administrator is a key support role within the business, responsible for performing a variety of accounting and commercial support tasks. This position is ideal for an organised and efficient individual, with the ability to pay attention to detail. The Accounts Administrator will play an integral role in successfully executing a range of accounting and commercial management tasks and supporting the commercial function within the business.

This will be a hybrid role involving a minimum of 3 days in the office.

You'll be working on…. (what your role and responsibility is)

  • Undertake basic bookkeeping activities using Sage platform.
  • Accurately record all financial transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments into the general ledger.
  • Maintain associated trackers relating to sales and purchases.
  • Maintain accounts payable and receivable ensuring timely payments and accurate postings.
  • Work closely with Financial Accounting Manager in the month end close.
  • Undertake project-related commercial activities;
  • Effectively manage interfaces with clients, suppliers;
  • Support subcontractor management;
  • Support commercial reporting;
  • Maintain commercial trackers and records;
  • Support the financial reconciliation of all project-related commercial elements.

About you…. (what you are skilled at)

  • Experience in an bookkeeping role;
  • Familiarity with Month end reporting timetable and expectations
  • Experience with Sage accounting platform (preferable);
  • Commercial administration experience (preferable);
  • High degree of organisational skill;
  • Ability to work well with colleagues on both the accounting and engineering sides of the business;

  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Good understanding of the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel;
  • Right to work in the UK.
